My last ram a 09. I put a 3 in the front and 33s on it. Only dropped 2. But never really took it on Highway to reset it

12mpg was about to regear it and tune it which would help a lot too but endrd up lettimg her go which was a huge mistake but she was getting up in miles

Averaged 25-27 in my cummins, no lift, 35″ tires, 160 hp Diablo tune, cai, 4″ straight pipe to 7″ stack
I get 14.8 highway in my 12 bighorn, just leveled with 35s
I had straight pipes 9in lift 37s
I was gonna put a levelimg kit on it to give it 12 up front but just dropped the ass 3in
10 inch lift regeared 4.56 and 38s getting about 15
Ive always wanted a cummins… too bad I really have no use for them:( lol always heard about good mileage from cummins…better than alot of duramaxes but I guess that just depends whats done to it….& troy was it fully deleted? ?

It was a 03, motor out of the 04… Full delete straight pipe! 6 speed manual, truck would sh!t and get!

Gas mileage? 9mpg all day! But I wouldnt think the leveling kit would effect it too much.

Lucky^^^^ Best I ever got was 12 highway for a long haul. I also have 4:10 gears and heavy duty plowing and towing package.
My 2nd gen would get 10 mpg pulling a loaded down car trailer or just running down the highway, 4.10 gears in a Dana 60 rearend

Yeah I usally get around 9.8mpg and then put murders on so to compensate I started putting nos octane boost and if I don’t drive like a maniac I get around 10.8

I had to experiment with different kinds because they would only stock like 3 boxes of nos
I had it in 04/05, it was a 97 1500, I put everything on it making it a 2500 clone lol, it was my high school toy
5″ lift, 35″ tires, true dual straight pipes (no cats) all stock other than gears,
Had the 5.9, my 96 I had in 03 had the 318, all stock except for y pipe duals and 33s, it averaged 12
Thats pretty cool . Mine is a stock 2500. Older engine probably just isnt running as “efficent” as it used to.
My 97 had 120,000 on it when I was driving it, ran with the best of them, sold it for 3500 less than book price because I knew the tranny was about to crap out, guy bought it knowing the issue and took off for home driving it like he stole it, tranny didn’t like that…. Guy didn’t make it home before the tranny shelled out ,

I have a 2009 4.7 4×2 crew with superchips and level getting 17-18mpg city. Haven’t gone hwy yet. Just got her 3 weeks ago.
