Who’s ’07-’13 Tahoe uses oil. I’ve deleted all the afm/dod crap. Swapped the Cam and it still uses oil.

Some oil use is normal, how much are u using?
Mine doesn’t , I just turned my afm off and tuned it and mine doesn’t consume oil anymore 07
There is a revised driver side valve cover and do a catch can
@Frank changed the valve cover. I guess a catch can is next

@David that would most likely be within manufacturers spec. I’m not positive what gm’s spec is. I eas a ford tech and the 6.8 that was in spec.
Using about a Qt every 2k miles . Intake had alot of oil in it when I took it off
There’s a deflector in the crank case that can be added to cut down on oil consumption
My fresh 5 3 also Burns on city driving. Highway I drove 2k miles with no oil loss.
New rings, bearings, pump, hone, valve seals etc.
Pcv or oil has a poor noack volatility.

Catch can is key for these motors that burn a lot of oil as if you don’t use one it kills your O2 sensors and your catalytic converters

Could be the oring on the pick up tube in the oil pan or intake gasket
All of em from 07 up without AFM delete. ?♂️ Seriously tho my uncle works at a dealership & he looked it up & a quart between changes is normal. I beg the differ but.
@Robert mine is all gone with new cam and Lifters . Still uses oil

@Robert I have an 2008 5.3 factory AFM/DoD 215k miles. I don’t lose hardly any, maybe 1/2 quart at 5k intervals.
