Who in here is going around telling people an ltg swap would be a cake walk on a cruze?
Who in here is going around telling people an ltg swap would be a cake walk on a cruze? ?? i have to find the plasti-dip god that knows anything about motor swapping
I actually heard the ls1 swap is easier. Just drop it in.
Where in the fuck did you hear that? No it’s not just ‘drop in’
Yeah man just lift the hood and drop it. Don’t even need to remove the old 1.4.. I’m just being a dick, seriously there has been a lot of “it should bolt right up” talks about the ltg.
Kinda figured but in this group i can’t be sure.
Yeah some kid was talking big about it and i was like are you fucking kidding? Good luck starting it after it’s installed ? the ecu and bcm wouldn’t communicate and would never turn on
I am just always out for a laugh, and hey man some people have to learn the hard way though I am assuming if someone is serious about the swap the new modules would cross their mind from time to time, I hope.
Even so, an ltg ecu won’t communicate to a cruze bcm. And you can’t put a ltg (any car that has that motor) bcm in a cruze. So that will be where the problem lies
Sounds like too much work, though I don’t know a thing about swapping engines in a car. Would almost be better off with forged internals 1.4 and a big turbo. Or turbo 1.8.. they already work! Half the job is done. Lol.
Fuck, I just ordered an LTG and planned on putting it in Saturday morning. I have plans Saturday afternoon, are you saying it won’t be done? How many more cans of plasti dip do you think I’ll need?
He might have it confused with the verano 2.0 which is drop in capable supposedly.
Put a ej30 :p.
Ls swap the world!
I was thinking of swapping the engine from my CTS-V. Talk about a sleeper…
