Only BHR and racing beat really do anything at all. The rest are just knock off designs, more for sound.

I agree way to expensive, but he did his research and took his time and made a single long tube header. With it you don’t have to buy a midpipe if I’m correct. After seeing the price I just walked away and read what others were saying and doing to theres

Well if i did come into 5 grand and get the BHR header then id have to get rid of my BHR midpipe. Lol

I’ve got the BHR headers, and I couldn’t be happier ?…
Yeah they aren’t cheap, but once you buy a few cheap headers and have them fail and a mid pipe or two you would have spent more money on crap and still not have the performance of the BHR set.
The best results that I know of so far have been with the OEM outlet sized BHR header
If i did get the BHR would i have to get rid of my BHR MIDPIPE?

Yes the midpipe doesn’t fit. They have a small one for sale with it. It basically goes all the way back and deletes the stock cat pipe placement
Check the site, there is 3 options, a 2.5″ outlet, a 3″ outlet and also a cheaper option for those who already have the BHR mid pipe ?

So it repalces the the header and midpipe and then bolts up to the catback portion of the exhaust. Hmmmm decsions decions lol
Yes if you have the BHR header already you will have to sell it because it’s to long and will not fit, unless you have a fabricator who can cut and weld the flange.
Come into 5 grand I’d just buy that supercharger of timmy
5 years and 70k miles on my shitty OBX Racing header. Absolutely no complaints.
I wish I still had a picture but mines busted and refused to fit properly. I didn’t buy or install it. Was on when I got the car but still sucked
How did you install it?
@Lambo it did take some grinding on the engine side flange to get it to fit , and I had to elongate the holes on the collector flange also. I recommend using carbon gaskets from RX8Performance.
i have an obx header with the gasket it came with, am i going to hate life putting it on?

My only issue with the BHR is the lack of a way to retain the catcon.
It’d be easy enough to get a custom cat section made up to drop in when needed, tho with a cat in the system, you’ll lose the vast majority of the gained power from the header ?
No catcon in CT is a no go. Not much choice.
That’s my car with a set of ceramic coated BHR headers fitted, note the flange just after the collector. The bulge in the pipe back near the gearbox is the resonator, but that section of pipe could be taken off and changed with a custom made cat easily enough ?..
It’d be easier than changing the entire header lol
I have the RE Amemiya header on mine, biggest change was in exhaust note, it’s louder with more bark, especially once you hit 3500/4000 rpm 🙁

Nah mine is a few years old, RHDJapan doesn’t show that in their pics, can’t see how it would make any difference tbh, slight improvement in turbulence as the exhaust gases exit the engine but I would think close to zero hp gains.
Yea not much gains. Just should shift the power band slightly

Haha well I shouldn’t be running it as its not allowed by my insurance company but nah I won’t be selling it any time soon.
I have RB and I think it’s smoother but I think stock sounded better.
