You can get a ratchet for the seatbelt to keep it tensioned.
We don’t have car seat anchors in the crv
Would Honda have to legally install them if you request them? I googled and saw that only 01s have the option. I know when I worked at Chevy, we had to legally install them in a woman’s 99 cavalier for free. Figured Honda would be the same

Get these. They mount in the roof.
@R.j. how do they work though? The seat that we have has a detachable base that you just lock the seat into. The base has 2 anchor things for the bottom so idk how it would attach to the roof
@Wyatt these only work for sitting up seats. My infant seat I use the hooks mounted in the back on the floor. No easy feat to do th his also. Its runs under the rear seat and through the carpet
@R.j. I have seen the hooks you’re talking about. Just gotta figure out how to get them back there but I think it’s doable
@Wyatt the CRVs aren’t baby friendly from what I’ve see. Toddlers are a lil better
I moved one of the tie down anchors in the cargo area to the back of the rear seat for car seat anchor

They’re optional. My 2000 has 3.
I just threaded the seat belt through the base. Super easy. Once the baby is 2+ (forward facing), there’s an anchor on the roof behind the back row of seats that you hook a hook from the car seat to (then you still thread the seatbelt through the bottom)
Just uses the seat belt
