The difference is so small as to be covered by the difference one might expect from car to car of the same exact build. Same engine, and transmission. The SRT comes standard with the fancier options like leather. It also has better brakes and dynamic suspension. Finally, it comes with the free SRT track day.
I meant the difference in performance. Price I agree. Unless the extra was easy for me to swing (which it’s not), I’d just option a Scat with leather and do that. I don’t need the brakes or suspension.
@Peter I didn’t pay that, but it’s MSRP non the less, and definitely not a poor mans car. Me personally, the SRT doesn’t have enough going for it to justify the price, and the Hellcat is just too high.
-15.4″ 2 piece rotor vs 1 piece 14.2″ -6 piston vs 4 piston calipers -3 mode adjustable suspension vs bilstein sport suspension -9.5″ forged rim vs 9″ non forged -275mm vs 245mm tires -HID headlights vs projector – functional hood scoop vs non – Color matched spoiler – seating trim + standard goodies only available as options ( they may vary from year to year)
@Kenneth yeah mine was a no brainer. Demo vehicle. 2016 with 600 Miles. Fully loaded. Every single option and even has the red seat belts. I couldn’t pass it up. It was sitting in the back lot.
Scat pack is only 10 pounds lighter. (At least for 2015 I doubt it changed much since then) srt driving experience is much better with the different drive modes IMO. Scat pack is a “base” model srt. Some of the standard features in the srt are optional in the scat pack. Apples to apples, a loaded scat pack is close to a srt in price. The biggest value is a base scat pack vs a srt. What is not available is the steering wheel and adjustable suspension. (Yes there is a clear difference in the drive modes) scat pack is a great car, to the non enthusiast it looks the same. Can’t go wrong with either all depends on what you want out of it.
Nicely written! I recently drove a car with the flat bottom steering- definitely something that takes getting used to, I personally didn’t like it but probably just because it’s different
Scat pack is actually faster, due to being a bit lighter. Srt has more bells and whistles which make it slightly heavier.
Dang same engine tho right?
Yep same engine

I wouldn’t say $10000 is small…

True
Adjustable suspension. That is all
Bigger brakes. Option of lighter wheels.
Still not worth it to me, just sayin’ they’re there.
@Christopher dynamics package on scat pack gives you the SRT brakes and wheels
Nice. That wasn’t the available in 2015.
@John is correct. I have everything you can add to a scat including the wheels and brakes.
Scats don’t get the red color tho. They are grey.
Red calipers and adjustable suspension aren’t worth the price, lol.
My scat has red calipers…..
You have the 4 piston brembo
The upgraded 6 piston (dynamics package) brembo are grey
Ah that makes sense then
My scat 4 piston brakes are red
True, see above comment from me about 6 piston on scat
How much does the dynamics package run?
2,200 extra
Poor guy SRT. I love that!
Scat Pack is a poor mans SRT.
Smart mans SRT. If I wanted to buy one I would have.
I could have bought a SRT, couldn’t justify the price difference for what you get. I don’t track my car.
I’m gonna bag this car, so spending another extra just to take them off was not a good decision. Plus I love the red badge r/t
If you call someone who spends $50k on a car poor ?
The odds of someone paying 50k for a scat is slim to none. And if you did, you got a piss poor deal.
My sticker says 49k
That’s how much I paid for mine in 2015 lol
LOL Poor mans SRT salty ass
I didn’t pay 49 that’s for sure..
Under 40
I wish
@Peter plenty of scats over $50 k, before discounts
@Kevin im talking out the door. Plus everyone boasts about their “32k Scats”. Lol
$39k 16 scat new
@Peter I didn’t pay that, but it’s MSRP non the less, and definitely not a poor mans car. Me personally, the SRT doesn’t have enough going for it to justify the price, and the Hellcat is just too high.
Don’t forget the 6-piston Brembos!
I have 6 piston on my scat
Stock
Oh really? I thought Scats come with 4 piston stock.
And hellcat wheels
Damn those are sexy
You didn’t upgrade the package?
Dynamics package
I ordered every option you could add.
I think the SRT has 6-piston before add-ons.
True that’s why its over 50k
No significant difference from 4 to 6 on the street.
you ever thought about adding a little color, and getting rid of that faded blue?
Finally got mine done, they really pop!
??
Shannon Wilson except at brake replacement time ? ???
And brake dust lmao…
@Kenneth which I got to say, with the 4 piston brembos is very light.
But mostly appearance package and toys
Don’t forget the steering wheel. I love my SRT steering wheel lol
I guess lol… Flat wheel
Personalized
Nothing beats factory when it comes to details like this. DIY is cool tho
Only real world difference is the adjustable suspension.
Precisely
-15.4″ 2 piece rotor vs 1 piece 14.2″
-6 piston vs 4 piston calipers
-3 mode adjustable suspension vs bilstein sport suspension
-9.5″ forged rim vs 9″ non forged
-275mm vs 245mm tires
-HID headlights vs projector
– functional hood scoop vs non
– Color matched spoiler
– seating trim + standard goodies only available as options ( they may vary from year to year)
That should probably cover it
–
Right on John.
I have them all except adjustable suspension. And I guess the hood scoop functionality.
@Kenneth And steering wheel ? and SRT. Idk to me I like the little details here and there. I got my SRT brand new basically for a steal 39k
Oh yeah if you can get one at that price point it’s a no brainer.
And low key I love the Flat bottom
@Kenneth yeah mine was a no brainer. Demo vehicle. 2016 with 600 Miles. Fully loaded. Every single option and even has the red seat belts. I couldn’t pass it up. It was sitting in the back lot.
I sold my magnum and ordered this scat.
Nice man !
I tried for a Hellcat but I dont wanna be car broke lol.
I was going for a used Hellcat with low miles but this was too good of a deal.
@Kenneth im happy with this purchase. White with black leather. Too clean
It’s basically the exact same minus bells and whistles. That’s why I got a scat
The Scat Pack is basically what the previous gen Superbee was.
The MSRP price differential at my time of purchase was only 4K – no brainer in my books.

This may be the easiest, most basic description of the Scatpack….. it is simply the previous generation SRT with the new generation body. That’s it.
