I use armoral for tires. It works great

@Brook they can and will ruin your paint. And cause your fenders to deteriorate much faster. No time to find an article right now but others will confirm.

How long does it typically keep color before fading? I’m dealing with desert sun that the other products I use typically give me 3-5 weeks.

A couple of months is about all I get. Other stuff is more like a couple of weeks.

I used Mother’s was NOT impressed at all! I will only use Meguiars marine vinyl protectant

Funny enough, you can actually take a heat gun or propane torch and lightly heat the plastic and it will take it back to black
It only last about 3-6months though. Then it’s faded again
Same with the chemical stuff too. This is just free
Gonna try the heat idea , I do know after yqars of doing this no matter whay chemical u use it will turn white due to the fillers in it , tried them all at one point.
Do it really lightly though, don’t do it too much or you’ll melt it

Eventually I’m getting metal fenders.
We use marine paint for boats to paint anything you don’t want faded/rusted. I live by the sea, and it works extremely well.

Doe Urine… honestly, it’s an old tick my dad taught me. Buff it on then use a clean rag to buff it off. Shines like crazy.

^^^ LoL… yeah my insurance is insane. I hit 14 deer last year all bucks. ?? But my flares look new. Or maybe that’s the secret. My flares get replaced every few months because all the Jeep on deer collisions.
I wonder who said “let’s sneak up on a deer, harvest the urine and apply it to my faded plastic!”

Wipe new. The stuff on the infomercials. You can get it at walmart. it makes them shine for about a year and a half. No joke I washed my jeep every other week and it never faded

Me too (and some of the interior pieces as well). Also use it on the front grill, lights and hood to remove bugs easily and helps prevent them sticking in the future.
