What do all you 2.3 guys average in fuel economy? I just got 21 mpg on my last tank. I’m curious what is normal.

Seems low. Thats what i get in my 4.0 v6 with 2 inch lift and 29 inch all terrain tires
Which 2.3 group you looking for? The Lima or the duratec?
I get 28 out of my duratec.
Lima
Depends on driving habits.
Short trips
Aggressive acceleration
All effect mpgs.
I get about 20-22 out of my carbed 2.3
But its a 4spd
With a bunch of city driving.
Have seen up to 26 on the highway.
My 96
I saw around 23-28 regularly
With mixed driving
Getting about 25 around town in my 2008 w/ 2.3 & 5-speed manual @ just over 230k miles on it.
18-20 with a mild top end build and a weber
I used to get 20-28 depending on how much time I could spend in 5th. I had a 89 2.3l ranger 2wd standard cab short bed. With no extras. I also put a lot of money into that truck. All new brakes front and rear, new bearings and new accel coils, high performance wires, good copper plugs, custom cold air in take, k&n air filter. One time I got 32 mpg but I literally only drove on the highway.
How heavy is your girlfriend lol
I do highway most of the time and my tank last me 600km
My 97 avgs about 300 miles on a 15 gal tank which is 20 mpg give or take
my 2011 gets 25 mpg
Mine is a 93 splash 2.3 l 5 speed i get 24 to 28 at my best guesstimate
I have slightly tall tires and a heavy foot. I get about 20-22 in my 1994 5spd 2wd. My speedo underreads around 6% so I’m not 100% sure how accurate my numbers are.
My 2000 2.5 5spd gets about 31-32 highway and 24-26 mpg city
21-23 city 25-27 highway
High 20s city lil over 30 hwy
@Ben what year?
@Kim 03.
manual 5 speed
canopy
2002 2.3 manual 5 speed single cab. 29 mpg hwy
I had a Mazda B2600I (before merging with ford) had a 2.6 in it and 4×4, got about 26 mpg with it
Haven’t figured it up but I get over 300 miles out of a 14gal tank on 87.
I’m at almost 10mpg in my 94-4 banger ranger, I get better mileage out of my f-250 but the rangers has a little motor work…
I get that with a built turbo motor on e85 if i beat on it….?
I built my little Turbo Ranger cheap and I run her on cheap gas lol… however I had my ass handed to me by a twin turbo Porsche last week and I’m thinking I need nitrous and twins now…
Have gotten 24 outa my 93
I should say 2×4 5 speed also
Oh here we go again. Get ready for the 28 mpg 4.0 ext cab 4×4 unicorn to come up in these comments
Stock everything aside from slightly modified air box. Stock tire size and all I’m getting 24-27 on my 95 single cab 2wd 5 speed
My odometer doesn’t work nor does my fuel gauge so my best guess using Google maps and trying to rememeber everywhere I’ve driven, im getting about 21mpg in a 96 2.3 5 speed regular cab with a heavy foot
1995 xlt 2.3l, 5spd, 2wd, reg cab, shortbed. 27 mpg overall average.
