Pedal Commander is Bluetooth and works great I bet Idrive can’t say that

Bluetooth leads to complications. Idrive is a plug n play application with more modes then pedal commander

1
Bobby

Pedal Commander is plug and play as well and I get 40 different modes with mine Idrive can’t do that

0
Mike

But you going to sit on your phone and select modes while in traffic?

1
Bobby

Nope I preset and drive whatever I may be doing it’s done before I go eco in off-road 8 settings and then city , sport and sport plus 8 settings each still better than Idrive

0
Mike

Idrive automatically adjust for you.

1
Bobby

And I did want to set it in traffic I keep it hidden and it only takes a second to change settings thru the Bluetooth, no big deal at all

Mike

So tell me again the only difference from Idrive and pedal commander is Bluetooth? That’s not a selling point to me the convenience of not having to mess with it at all after install is a selling point. And Idrive does that

1
Bobby

And according to the Idrive flyer someone posted it doesn’t set automatically you have to set it to the number you want and then it will work from there

0
Mike

You set it once. Not every time you want to change modes. Once you set it it responds automatically to how your pressing the pedal

1
Bobby

Well you can set the Pedal Commander and drive as well they both have to be changed to suit your need for what you want if you set Idrive on 10 that’s all you get out of it it won’t automatically go higher than that so you still have to adjust it

I have one. I set mine on Sport +1 for about 3 days, then put it in Eco mode for rock crawling. I like mine. I sell them where I work.

The difference between the two as far as looks are concerned. He actually swapped his out for the idrive. Idrive has a faster processor for reliability and a smoother throttle response.

I find that hard to believe my Pedal Commander is extremely responsive !!

0
Taylor

And it may be responsive. Just saying the facts for idrive ??‍♀️

Bobby

It all comes down to self preference and I see he has the older pedal Commander , and one thing I forgot to say is I went a step farther with mine and programmed it to my Jeep so that may be the difference I have to everyone else’s I adjusted min and max voltage to the Commander with a computer program so I didn’t just plug and play like most do !!

I got it. It’s awesome. Had an issue that’s still existing but I figured it out. Mine works great if I start the jeep normally but if I use the factory remote start and then drive it cycles on and off the whole time I’m driving. Which is kind of annoying but I don’t need remote start till winter again so I’m good for now.

Is that the Idrive ?

Quinn

No the pedal commander

BreanneQuestion author

@Quinn, what will you do in the winter (I have remote start also, factory) and what was the issue? Please and thank you?!

0
Quinn

@Breanne I’ll probably just power the unit down. If it’s off the jeep doesn’t have any issues but then obviously I won’t get the benefits of the pedal commander in the winter

0
Bobby

I never have a problem with remote start and My Pedal Commander works no matter what way I start my Jeep

0
Quinn

@Bobby yea I’m not really sure what’s going on with my Jeep. I tried it on 2 different pedal commanders and the same thing happened so it’s got to be a problem with my Jeep. I’ll have to do some more digging but so far it only happens when I use my remote start. It’s likely just my Jeep because nobody else seems to be having the same issue

0
Bobby

@Quinn did you have someone tune it to your Jeep with the program on a laptop or did you just plug and play

0
Quinn

@Bobby just plug and play. Not sure how the tuning of the pedal commander works

0
Bobby

Well you need to find a rep and let him tune your Pedal Commander to your Jeep with min and max Voltage and that may just fix you issue , I was told by my rep that people can have issues if isn’t tuned to the Jeep properly !

0
Quinn

@Bobby how would I go about finding a rep? Just someone who sells it or someone who actually works for the company?

0
Bobby

Most reps that sell it have the program so that’s who to look for if you live in Florida I can hook you up but otherwise check with PC and they should be able to tell you the closest rep

0
Quinn

@Bobby awesome thanks. I’ll look into it. I know someone who recently started selling them I’ll ask them if they know anything about it.

Bobby

@Quinn welcome

Lol you have to pay $300 to have a rep come and tune the pedal commander to your Jeep, because it’s not suited from when you buy it.
Lol #idriveusa all the way.
Buy it, fit it and it’s done, and no need to hide it away as it actually looks good. Also no problem on Auto Start or anything for that matter
