Same problems with Android Auto at times. Frustrating as hell
@Steven hope they come up with a software update to fix it
Try changing your cable to an oem.
Disable “allow CarPlay while locked” it will help allow all protocols to load correctly when you unlock your phone. Gets rid of a lot of issues.

Mine did that alot for the first couple months. I swapped Anker cable, then made sure to always plug phone in before driving off. The problem seemed to slowly go away by itself.
Same here but I swapped cables and now it rarely happens. If it doesn’t I work I just unlock my phone and it does the trick and worse case just turn the car off and back on again.
There is an iPhone update today, perhaps running that will kill some bugs.
OEM apple cable worked the kinks for me.
I have issues if I do not used my OEN apple cable. I had the same issue in our Chevy and my Jeep too
