It should just pull out once the jubilee clip is loosened, then the bit under the window has screws so get right under there with a light
Jubilee clip on the bottom of the pipe where the bung goes? Thanks for info
Yes mate, I did mine the other week, pretty easy tbh just that bit under the window that was a pain
So you have totally removed it from under the window and not cut 🙂
Yes mate, didn’t fancy cutting it just Incase I put it all back to standard so it’s in the shed with my airbox lol
Happy days then 🙂
Defo mate & engine bay looks so much better without it!
Yes deffo does
what you will need is new knuckles after lol
it’s a pain in the ass, with the silly clip ford put on
Ha joys of being a girl! Small hands I just got dirty no scraped knuckles ?
Did mine Xmas eve…So much quieter in the car now 🙂
to be honest it don’t really make a diff if you have a group a on
as you can hear that sucking the air in
That’s the clip in the centre of this photo with the bung in place of the pipe, long nosed pliers will unclip it as it’s not a jubilee
Well mine is a jubilee clip
I left mine attached the other end …and tucked it down the back of the engine …much louder turbo sound now lol
I’ve heard if you take headlight out it gives more work space and access
Why do you need to remove it in the first place just wondered that’s all?
Yep totally correct. ..lots more room i used pipe wrench
The symposer pipe causes boost leaks Brian if that’s what you’re asking
Yeah mate wasn’t sure what it is does cheers
It is a bit of kit Ford put in to send engine noise to cabin but causes more problems than it’s worth, and apparently doesn’t take too long to remove and blank off and takes away an area than can cause boost leaks
So you just plug the holes up when you remove it
Piece of cake to do ?

Yeah easy job I done one yesterday along with a plenum it won’t take long to do
You can get a blanking plate awell from AS if you wanna remove that metal arm
It’s best to get a new pipe from the inter cooler that does not have the y split in it
If you fancy spending £65
Just 1 hole Brian.
I was going do this a couple of weeks ago, but was advised against it as it would screw the turbo up, but so many do it
So what’s the story
So many do it and no turbos fail :p i advise you to order a bung 🙂
