So happy with my new 2006 Touareg 3.0 V6 TDI. Can anyone help distinguish between the ‘Sport’ model and the ‘Altitude’ model?
So happy with my new 2006 Touareg 3.0 V6 TDI. Can anyone help distinguish between the ‘Sport’ model and the ‘Altitude’ model?
From what I understand the sport model is usually the basic model. I’m not sure what the altitude version would include tho
Strange that, mine shows Sport model and is pretty loaded with electric heated seats, electric steering wheel, big sat nav, oem 19″ wheels, side skirts, auto headlights/washers…..confused?
Maybe I have it backwards. Mine has heated seats, electric steering wheel, etc but it’s nowhere near as well optioned as the v8. This could vary in different markets so. Where are you?
Where would it say Sport or Altitude? I’ve the same year/engine
I’m confused as its say “sport” on the log book but “altitude” in the manual pack. I’m in the uk
I’ve just looked at mines log book, it says Sport A, the manual has every model options in though (I’m uk too). Mines got the heated seats, Sat nav, rain sensor washers, sounds like same model as yours I think. Just looked at a review online & it says the Altitude has side skirts & roof spoiler, mine not got those
Alititude in the UK is top spec. The Rline is the replacement. My log book has Altitude on it.
Ps… I think one easy difference is the colour of the headliner. Sport is light grey/white… Altitude or Rline is black. Unless your car has options for black headliner as spec’d when new.
Also think the trim in side on dash is black not wood effect
I’ve got sport on the registration document but Altitude on the dealer paperwork.
Hmm not sure then, mine says sport, has cream/beige headliner same as the rest of the interior & has wood trim ?
