Seen a totaled Charger with 392 and thought hmmmm, would that bolt into a 2009 Ram? The Charger is a 2015 SRT.

In for info. It’s based on the same block so it should bolt in. Not sure how you’d handle the wiring / computer.
If you only swap longblock and injectors you only need a retune.
I love my 392 in my Ram
Do it lol
Did you do a stroker or the 6.4 swap?
@Quentin the lol was for me buying a 2500 already with the 6.4
@Roy lol gotcha
I was going to go after it if it will bolt to the mounts and tranny, 485 HP would be nice. I would have to compare cost with a Procharger which is said to add 160HP but damn they are expensive.
Biggest problem i see is communication. Big difference between 09 and 15. As long ad you got the pcm and all harnesses im sure it could be done.
Yeah i figured that . The car only had 40K miles truck is pushing 200.
If there isnt anything wrong with your motor, i would pull it, put new rod and main bearings, piston rings, valve stem seals, lifters,a mild cam, and all-new gaskets. Then add a supercharger runninf 5 or 6 lbs. It would be a nasty bitch . And less work than swapping in a 6.4
That sounds like 10K at least?
anything can be done with enough money…http://moparconnectionmagazine.com/swap-a-modern-hemi-into-your-classic-mopar-with-mopars-new-crate-hemi-engine-kits/

Here is another way to go
Finally some real tech questions.
Longblock is the same. You’ll need to reuse your intake manifold, oil pan, and timing cover.
I shouldn’t say the same. Longblock on both are interchangeable physically.
You’ll still need a tune for it and you’re going to be pushing your stock injectors so you’ll want to use the ones from the 6.4L
