I did in my 04 Better fuel mileage Faster warm up in winter Colder ac at idle No loud clutch fan No heavy ass fan hanging off water pump Longer water pump life
I don’t really have any cons to list. I guess if both fans some how failed at the same time, the truck could run hot at idle.
@Matt definitely not, it’s a direct bolt in.. but you will need to figure out how to make them run. You can use factory fan wiring and have the pins activated in the pcm to control them exactly as factory.. Or buy an aftermarket controller..
@Mike came with it and I actually just replaced the radiator bout a month ago and got the smaller one the first time had to take it back and get the bigger one cause the fans was about 4-6 inches wider than the smaller radiator

One of the best upgrades I did.
Before I waste $ will one from a 2008 Silverado bolt up to an 03 tahoe?
@Matt yep
And if it doesnt have the whole harness. On3 sells a nice harness
^ with instructions to retrofit.
Its a real nice kit
I’m going to just buy a new kit. $120 for a kit compared to a used one
@Josh on3?
@Jon https://www.on3performance.com/shop/on-3-performance-1999-2006-dual-electric-fan-upgrade-wiring-harness-for-ecu-control/
@Matt where? I need two.
@Matt a kit?
Only con… You need the bigger radiator….. after that is all pros!
@Juan why a bigger radiator? I’ve had electric fans for about 6 months no problems
@Cameron to use the 05-06 fans to make it look factory… those have a wider radiator.
@Juan it has nothing to do with that..
the bigger radiator is based on if you have towing package option. And it would have a 34” core radiator..
@Thomas I want to see your set up lol
@Juan just look at any 05 up gm full size truck. That’s my setup.. ??♂️?
@Juan factory fuse panel and wiring…
Stock fans..
Slight hp gain also
No cons only pros

@Mike came with it and I actually just replaced the radiator bout a month ago and got the smaller one the first time had to take it back and get the bigger one cause the fans was about 4-6 inches wider than the smaller radiator
Can you electric fan swap an 2002?
@Joe yes.. you can fan swap any vehicle depending on your skill level
May require more powerful alternator
Price is the only con. Would it be better for you to put the money in the gas money fund?
@Timothy idc about the gas. I’m doing it because it’s less strain
Anyone running the pcmofnc kit?
