just buy the kit
I did not know there was a kit. Ill look into it.
I believe Depending on Trailer size, you may or may not need trailer lights. But it varies state to sate.
I might have a spare kit I’ll check tonight
I would appreciate that very much.

I have the curt hitch for my 09 vibe. Came damaged so I just sent it back and they’re sending me a new one, they have good reviews, but drawtite is good as well.
Also, buy yourself a regular M12x1.25 plug tap to chase the threads in your vibes chassis nuts. They get corroded, so cleaning them will make things go smoothly when it comes to running the bolts in. I got mine for $12 at the local production tool supply here in southeast Michigan.
These specs are for a 2nd gen vibe, but this info I got from the GENVIBE forum a while back. Good luck!
There are complete hitch and plug & play wiring harness buys on eBay. Most are very reasonable. Curt, Drawtite, Hidden Hitch, can’t really go wrong with any of them.
I picked up a light kit from Amazon. Don’t forget to get bulb grease to protect the contacts in the connector
Is that like blinker fluid ?
You know, it just might be, but that super thick one with the leak stopper in it ?
i think mine is the Hidden Hitch. It was installed with a real handy plug that was screwed to the underside of the bumper, which made for a nice, clean wire install. Except one winter, my lights started ‘shorting’ out. blinkers didn’t work right, brake lights were intermittent, etc. turns out that a rock (or four years worth of gravel and crap being kicked up) scraped a tiny hole in the protective plastic around the wires, and when it got wet it started to rust and eventually caused a bunch of hate and discontent. replaced it with one that stores in the spare tire well, and hangs out the back of the hatch when needed.
