I had st coils on my fuze. They rode good but are stiffer than reg suspension. Adjustability is always a pro.

You can adjust the height on coilovers. You can also adjust the softness and firmness on them. I’ve had them on a little over a year. My car was the test car for BC Racing coilovers on the 13′ and up Fusions

You can adjust! Lowering springs on stock struts and absorbers can wear down. Coilovers are built for the stressload. You can adjust how stiff or soft your damper is. They come with new struts, springs and absorbers. Both have cons due to ball joint wears and bushing wear cause the fact you’re putting more stress on other parts. Pro on springs – affordable con – you’ll stay at a set height , pro on coils – made for it, can adjust height and damper and camber, con – you have to insure monthly or a comfortable time to check if your perches are tight.

St suspension coilovers are the best in my opinion

Coils vs springs. I fucking love my coils end of that. Springs are nice too and more affordable

I’m on Vogtland springs also. I really need to get new shocks since I’m bottoming them out.

Rob

@Tyler – you’ve got two choices only – KONI yellow adjustables or Bilstein B8 shocks. As you know I’m on KONIs. @Ben, who also is riding on Vogtlands, has the B8s on his Sport

Tyler

Nice. Probably pretty spendy lol

Tyler

Reason I have not replaced my shocks yet. My ride is horrible and I’m guessing it cause the shocks are bottomed out

Rob

Or they could be blown.

0
Tyler

Ya. That to. I haven’t had any fluid come out yet

Yeah, they’re probably blown. Bilsteins are $550 from CD3. Konis are around $600 if I’m remembering correctly.

Tyler

Nice. Thanks!! P

When I was on Eibachs, my driver side Bilstein B6 HD shock blew due to an incorrect install. Stupid mechanic and Bilstein wouldn’t warranty it.

Rob

If you bought from CD3 before, you can use your reward points towards the purchase and get $ off

Tyler

Wow that sucks. Mine blew because I’m an idiot lol I cut my front springs because I hate how the front sits higher than the backs so I made the front sit lower. Now I regret it

Tyler

I have not yet. But j have been looking at the site a lot. Trying to talk myself into that $300 tuner.

Rob

Yikes! Actually, the mod you should’ve done was grind off the tab on the shock housing.

0
Tyler

That’s a much better Idea

Rob

Your front looks like it was as low as mine was on Vogtland 4cyl springs

I got the Mazda 6 springs

Vogtland was awesome to work with but I had to wait for replacement springs to come from Germany. My car sat for 6 weeks because it wasn’t drivable.

0
Tyler

I bet it did

1
Tyler

Jeez. To long. Mine sat for 3 months cause the motor blew up :/

1
Tyler

Well love your cAr man, very clean!!

1
Rob

Thanks @Tyler! Much appreciated! May I ask – you cut your Vogtlands up front?

0
Tyler

I think they may have been for the v6

0
Tyler

So the front sat really high

Rob

If you can see the part # on one of the front springs, see if you can take a pic

Tyler

I still have the box they came in. I’ll pull it out of my upstairs later today and get a pic of it
