Mine seems to come from where the eyesight is sometimes
I have an appointment tomorrow morning 2ed time they never hear it so I’m taking them with me in the car
@Jr Where does yours sound like it’s coming from
@Jason some where on the passenger side
don’t know if front or back
I had a 2019 Limited, there was a rattle that sounded like it was coming from the left side of the dash or passenger front door.
@Joe did they find out what it was
No , it was intermittent.
@Joe mine to I think I hear every time I drive it but they don’t
check the rear middle seat belt if it’s been disconnected it will rattle. If it’s coming from the from the front the pillar air bags have plastic tabs and at least mine do that’s what mine was I used a small dot of super glue worked for me but you have to be careful they may go off I disconnected the battery. I found it when I ran a crash camera
Same here, ours turned out to be the plastic guard for the passenger rear brake line
I’ve had to rattle-proof most of my Subarus, as they commonly have loose-fitting plastic to metal connections. Buy a couple rolls of felt tape and thin foam weatherstripping, and have at it. Common locations in my 2019 Crosstrek are glovebox, door panels (especially those white clips on the panel-side), B-pillars (lots of plastic to metal connections) Eyesight cover (some felt tape and foam weatherstripping), sunvisor tab (plastic on metal) connections, door sills (plastic on metal, again), and even a couple spots under the hood I could hear…
If you notice when the air is on then it’s your blower motor. I had mine replaced last month…I heard it’s a common problem with Crosstrek and wrx’s.
Subies are known to rattle. Listen and narrow it down and fix. Or take it to dealership if you have a warranty.
this is my 2ed trip to the dealership they never hear it
Then figure it out yourself!!
@Jeffry trying just cant seem to figure it out
More like. There is a rattle coming from my Subaru.
No seriously. I’ve been asked a dummer question. As a kid working at the Seattle Center, a tourist came into the Center House and asked where the Space Needle was.
Common rear seat latch there a rubber bush torn. That will cause rattling sound on unevenroad.
thanks
Here the close up picture
My center console vibrates and there is a rattle on the right front at certain speeds when press the gas pedal.
checked the center console not that
The easiest and safest way to diagnose this is to get a helper to ride in or drive the car so one person can concentrate on driving while the other can try chasing down the rattle. Find a road that typically produces the noise so you can go there to recreate those conditions.
If it’s coming from under the back seat it could be a pipe rattling on the fuel tank. Here’s the TSB: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2020/MC-10173198-0001.pdf
BTW if any of you have an 18+ Trek and there’s a rattle under the hood here’s the TSB: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2020/MC-10173178-0001.pdf
Finally if you have an 18+ with 6MT and the stick rattles in 4th gear here’s the TSB: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2020/MC-10171926-0001.pdf
rattle rattle thunder clap boom boom boom don’t worry call the car X man?
