Probably failed lifter. Very common. Look up MDS lifter failure.

@Donald it sucks that is common. I would repair then get a tuner and turn MDS off with tuner.

I have the same problem on my ‘09. cylinder 6 misfire. Dodge said it’s a bad cam. That was about 25,000 miles ago. Chose to let it be. No problems since. Not even a check engine light.

Clogged fuel injector, fouled spark plug, bad ignition coil. Worse case scenario is the cam and lifter issue

Worse case is a head gasket. There, I said it.

My dodge nitro R/T had misfire code 4 times now. Each time it was a coil on that cyl. Does your eng have a coil each cyl?

Since you asked. Fouled spark plug, broken spark plug, deteriorated spark plug, plugged injector, open in injector solenoid. Open in injector feed circuit, open in injector ground circuit. Short to ground in injector feed circuit. Short to voltage in injector ground circuit. Open or short in ignition coil control, faulty ignition coil, broken or corroded engine ground. Broken cam shaft, worn camshaft, bent pushrod, broken pushrod. Bent or broken intake valve, bent or broken exhaust valve, broken or damaged piston rings, broken or damaged piston, cracked engine block. Failed lifter, failed MDS rocker, failed MDS solenoid. And More..

Most likley a coil or could be fuel injector or plug went bad

Move coil pack from that cylinder to another cylinder see if the miss fire flows. If it does you need a coil pack and replace the spark plug
