Plugs wires coils to start
Tune up
@Kyle this is the first time I’ve ever had this happen n I got Bosch platinums & MSD wires n I maintenance it regularly
@Nicc maybe the maf, clean it with maf cleaner and see when it dose
Get rid of bosch plugs
Use the stock AC Delco plugs
@Jason i agree. Bosch plugs and wires suck.
personally, in every vehicle I swear by NGK.
Bosch plugs always misfire even out the box for some reason. I learned that lesson in 2005 with an exploder
Scan…with a good scanner..not a code reader..mine had a misfire on 1 & 7…left bank…dealer said intake gaskets…I replaced them…still had the misfire…scanned…02 voltages wrong on left side…replaced the left cat…runs great !
Quit letting backyard mechanics work on ur car lol
@Thoody ain’t nobody did I replaced the shit myself n I’m only posting for second opinion not yours damn this guy
@Thoody what if that backyard mechanic is ASE certified with over 15 years experience?
@Nicc I’m just giving you shit, quit like a vagina boy!
The funny thing is it kicks off & on it doesn’t always flash it just recently happened I’m only asking for a second opinion
Does it run rough when it happens?
If it flashes and doesn’t stay solid it can not pin point the cylinder that has a misfire a decent scanner with live feed data will show which is missing
Change coil packs
Does it misfire when the motor is cold, warm, or both?
@Nathan it just started happening a week ago I noticed it but couldn’t tell any difference n it’ll flash sumtimes n other times it won’t I’m going to clean the maf first than plugs ?
okay, but when it does, is the engine cold, or warmed up, or doesn’t matter and it has done it both ways?
It doesn’t on a cold start it only does after it’s warmed up & I accelerate n we checced the maf & map on it n checced the wires n few plugs but I think it’s a bad plug tbh I’m going to get it scanned & find out what it reads
Spark plugs first don’t change the coils unless it pops up again, coils don’t usually go bad.
Tune up and check coil on whatever cylinder that you have a misfire on
My 01 does the same thing, but the check engine light only flashes when I push the gas pedal
Unplug coils 1 by 1 till you find the bad one
