I had a skyjacker on my TJ. I didn’t have any problems. Do yourself a favor though, no matter what brand you decide to install, spend the money on a quality kit with adjustable components. Don’t wait for driveline issues to arise. Correct them ASAP.

I’m also looking at 3.5″ and planning on AEV, convinced it will provide better on road handling while still doing everything off road.

I have the 2.5″ AEV Dual Sport with Rock Crawler lower. No complaints.

Lower control arms?

Evan

As best I understand it the geometry lowering brackets mean you don’t need any control arms

@Marc – Front control arms. AEV uses relocation brackets, I went with a new arm instead.

Get adjustable everything.

Not big fan of skyjacker. I have Nth degree(now AEV) and Teraflex long arm. I agree with spend little extra for adjustable links.

Kaitlin, check out the Quadratec Max Duty 3.5″ lift, with Fox shocks. You will also need an adjustable front track bar and front swaybar quick disconnects. But it’s a great lift (made FOR Quadratec, by a BIG name company) the Fox shocks are great.

Went with a Rubicon Express, Jeep handles great, no front end wobbles. I did get the geometry correction brackets.

A very good looking jeep! Do you have any problems on the freeway with the skyjacker

0
Curtis

No. Actually drives better 45mph to 80. My problem is that I didn’t put in a longer/adjustable rear trackbar. So i get a little wiggle on and off the gas

Rockkrawler 3.5 , the triple rate springs are some of the best multi rate springs on the market and they have excellent components warranty and CS, sky jacker and rough country are in the same category they are cheap for a reason

Who cares what anyone else thinks. It’s a bout you and your Jeep as long as you like it who cares what anyone else says.
