I’d suggest an Android Head Unit. After the experience I’ve had with mine, I wouldn’t recommend my exact model. You’ll want one with at least 2GB of RAM, like this one: https://www.amazon.com/JOYING-Android-Stereo-Navigation-Bluetooth/dp/B01M670UWI

If you’re an audiophile, then you may want to look elsewhere, but I’m very happy with how mine sounds with the factory speakers.

I am deaf.. So I don’t need a excellent sound or whatever. But I do prefer have good sound lol. If you know what I meant

I don’t know about the chinese Android HU’s though… most people seem to go through one a year, and the sound everyone complains is shite… I’d go for a mid-range Clarion or JVC/Kenwood maybe.

I’ve only had mine a few months, so I can’t speak to the longevity, but I have no complaints on the sound. The radio receiver sounds terrible, but I hardly listen to terrestrial radio anymore (and if I really want to, I use the ihearrradio app and listen to a station I liked back in Florida). If I play something from an Android app (mostly SiriusXM or Spotify at the moment), the sound is perfectly acceptable.

I’ve also got a permanent hotspot in the car in the form of an old cell phone with the tether always on, so as long as it has mobile data, I’ve got access to all my streaming services.

I also happen to think it looks pretty damn good in the dash.

Can you post pictures? So I can see what it looks like. Thanks

@Cameron, does yours run smoothly? Mine should have the same system specs as yours, just with a different screen and button layout, and I had to do mess of tweaking to make it usable. I’ve basically had to disable all Google services on it.

After doing all that, its been smooth and reliable, but it took some effort to figure out what to do. I just can’t use Google Maps (I use Waze instead).

Yeah I prefer Waze over Google maps

I’ve also got a third party app store installed to keep my apps up to date without the Google Play Store.

$100-200 is what I am looking for. Not like this one. Read my post carefully next time.

Justin

Well your post doesn’t list any budget, so I just went for what I knew.

Can keep an eye out online and in retail stores because Pioneer is doing model changes right now, you might be able to get a decent entry level for $200 on clearance or on sale

Pioneer, their decks are top notch. Get any backup camera; tons available on Amazon for $20-40.
