I have, You’ll need a press, its not that hard, but be careful not to split the wheel bearing when you’re assembling it

I don’t remember how long it took, my locking ring was rusted and was real hard to get out of my knuckle.. I used a OEM Toyota wheel bearing

I took the knuckle off , bought the new bearing and took it to a mechanic shop. They removed the old bearing and pressed in the new one for $20 bucks..

Use a universal front wheel drive bearing installation tool. You can rent one at AutoZone.

You don’t need a press.

Maybe that’s what it’s called, I dunno… I’m tired of breaking my tools messing with it… Not coming off by my hand…

Well… Sw20 correct? It’s a 30mm axle nut… And should have a cotter pin through the main shaft end. New bearing needs to be pressed in, but it’s overall a pretty easy task. Costed me $70 for the wheel bearing and the press-in

SW22 here, and mine is 32mm. I’ve had the passenger side off a couple of times for alternator replacements, but this one doesn’t want to budge…

Wow how are you guys replacing wheel bearings without the proper tools? I replace about 30 per year at http://primemr2.com/ and it takes a lot of effort with my 20 ton press and clamshell bearing puller.

I take mine to get pressed at a shop, the rest I do with my crappy tools, determination, a couple skinned knuckles, and a lot of cussing ?
