Mine is definitely noticeably different from going from 2 wheel drive to all wheel drive or 4 wheel drive or 4 Low

Mine is 2wd then i can change to 4hi or 4lo on selector
Why would you keep it in auto 4×4?.
When driving on icy roads I put it in auto just in case it’s needed if I’m in some shity shit I go for 4 by 4 but they today driving two wheel drive

My Expedition has two wheel auto four wheel 4hi and 4lo
@Dave depends on the year…my 01 had no 2wd only option. My 05 however has a 2wd only option.

I think the auto engagement of the awd is stupid and i cut one wire on top of transfer case and it will never engage awd again i can still shift to 4×4 from selector

Thats why i cut the wire on mine makes it stay in 2wd then if u need 4×4 u just change selector to 4hi or 4lo
I’m glad my 05 has the 2wd only option on the switch…gives me more control of what the truck is doing.
For sure not being able to be in 2wd in nice weather is ridiculous
Mine I a 99. Wish it had to 2wd option. Don’t care much for a4wd

Its very simple this is what i did there is a single gray wire in a black wire loom all by its self that goes to top of transfer case u cut that wire .what that wire does is when rear tires slip transfer case engages front wheels .it wont do that anymore it will stay in 2wd and when u need 4×4 u simply just change ur selector on dash to 4hi or 4lo .its as simple as that .no bs thats how i did my 01 eb way better so u dont have a slip of the rear tires and while its spinning the front shaft thats not gets slammed into engage .stupid system.do it and u will thank me .takes 5 mins and a pair of wire dykes

If I make Sharp slow turns like pulling into a parking space. Not cranking the wheel all the way, I get a little jumpyness or weird noise from front end. Got an idea what that could be?
The awd cut that wire u wont have those issues mine is same setup as urs and it runs in 2wd now enless i need 4×4 like i did today with this blizzard
Its a bs system cutting this wire makes it operate like a normal 4×4
@Dave my dad has an 05 f150 with the 2wd 4hi and 4low setting. His doesn’t do that when turning so I suspected it was the a4wd bc his doesn’t have it
U could have a alignment issue to i dont know how the maintenance is on urs

@Dave I Haven’t Had IT long. Maybe a year. It’s really clean inside and out so I assume it was taken care of. Might be an alignment issue, my steering wheel isn’t perfectly straight when driving down the highway

But i have a brand new front end parats tires and alignment on mine to
I need shocks and probably need upper and lower ball joints. Everything looks original down there lol
U might have a tie rod bad or out of alignment that will cause it to bit that awd bs is for the birds

It came with a cold air intake on it. Since then I have put a super 40 Flowmaster on It with dual outs. Exits behind both rear wheels at a 45 with slash cut tips

Those were my old tires its got bf goodrich mud terrins on it now.runs pretty good im takin clutch fan off next and putting a electric fans on it .it runs pretty strong .my tuner is a sct x4 tunner with custom tunes from sct
This summer its getting headers.cams.if i can afford it im putting a procharger system on it.will be around 475hp after that

They give u 3 base line tunes street.perf.race or towing. Mine on race tune with what i have done to mine and on 93 octane only on race tune its fun.it will boil tires just stabbin throttle from a stop.haha

My mpg doesnt change at all in 2wd or a4wd i still get 9mpg

True and outta the whole time ive owned it drove from apple valley ca to la then venice beach and back to av on 3/4 of a tank but around town mpg sucks ass lol
My 03 5.4 gets 12mpg either way
