Hello, is it really common for the motors to go in these after 200,000+ km (sorry I don’t know how to read miles)

No motor should just “go” after a certain amount of kms or miles. Engines are like any machine. If they are well taken care of & not abused, then they can last many more trips without any major repairs. Is there anything wrong with yours my fellow Canadian?
I am looking into buying one but trying to weigh the pros and cons. I was told to stay away from the ’06. I have always had GC but I like the 3rd row option and I refuse to get out of Jeep lol. Always owned GC (excpet my YJ) but want to try out the Commander I like the looks of them.
Well almost all the commanders here are over 200,000km, im at 141k miles are something like 226,000km these engines are good for 480,000km
Thanks @Daniel that makes me feel better
I have a 06 4.7 at 190,000mi still running like a champ. Just keep up with maintenance.
I have an 06 Hemi Limited GC. I love it. Stay away from GC’s that had multiple owners or ones that were not taken care of. It’s a risk buying anything that is used. I hope you find a good one that’s not a lemon & I always buy used vehicles. Especially ones under 100,000 miles. That’s just me.
Me too I always ask to see paper work of maintenance done to it and same here if it had to many owners or they have no paper work I walk away,
I have a 2009 Sport 3.7 over 130k on it.
270,000km on mine. Doesn’t burn a drop of oil. Well maintained 2006 hemi.
@Alex unless it’s a … 3.7 ???
Um 3.7 are some of the highest millage xks
Google has a kph to mph converter pal. But no if you did proper maintenance then you should be good
