Has anyone twin charged an fa20dit yet? I know there’s a heavy fa20 super charger after market out there.

Now you talk my language the boost lag on this small motor is so brutal
With the stock twin scroll? That’s not much lag my man.
It’s all relative. A lot more lag than a supercharged car or a 6 cylinder
@Anders well, relative to a big turbo car or the old wrx or sti, it’s nothing. The EJs are WAY worse
Anders Watkins you can not compare lag between both lmfao ??♂️By designs turbo lag and SCs are immediate spool.
But compared to a supercharger or 335i or gtr the lag is ruthless. Have only drove an EJ once that was before my WRX. A huge turbo is laggy but something like a big turbo I6 or V6 is gonna come with huge gears also so you’re making big boost for longer. WRX is short gear, lag, boost, shift, lag, short gear… i chose the WRX for the 6 speed vs only 5 with the Evo but 6 honestly feels like too many a lot of times
@Anders my 2010 STi was way worse.
@Dylan agreed. I think they really did a good job with the lag or lack thereof with this new fa20dit setup. JMO
@Matthew same. it’s literally the reason I switched from an STi to a WRX.
Only drove a 16 STI how is lag between the 2016 and 16 different? Both same motor are they not?
@Dylan also the ej25 is like 20 years old with shit gas mileage, shitty lag, and don’t get me started on the oil eating and ring land s
@Anders totally different. They still use EJs with unequal headers in the sti. That will be gone soon
FA24 will be the new jawn soon
I think Rally Sport Direct did it. It was a whole video series by someone, in any case.
Yes. It sucked. Move on.
I don’t wanna actually do it. I’m just curious. I don’t love blowers that much honestly.
@Jonathan yea it sucked because of fueling issues,
Be willing to be eventually someone will do it again with the new fuel mods for the fa platform
What fueling problems did they run into did they try port injection?
@Anders I would imagine they would if they used the brz manifold.
Makes sense right?
They didnt. And they had issues with fuel i believe but not by the fuel limitations of the FA. FAs are now doing high 480whp on just e60. That twin charged car got like barely mid 300s. Even the builder in their video said it wasnt a good idea at all and theres a reason no high profile racing Subaru bothers doing it.
@RallySport
This is the twin charged rally sport direct car. It’s not tuned properly but does run.
Word. Thanks for the best answer to my question.
Lol. They kept the rear facing throttle body.
np man, my jaw dropped when I walked in and noticed it was twin charged, I asked them about it but they were having problems tuning it since at the time it was prob the only one or one of few. Super badass car and would love to see it tuned
@Adam that’s what I would imagine would he the problem. I could build it I think, but it wouldn’t work
I have a pic of the same one from rallysport direct!
i live about 5-10 min away from rallysport, def a good place to walk inside to pick up wrx parts. Love that car wished it made more power, it was dynoed at 273WHP and about 278TQ. The low end power is amazing and the supercharger is only on 6psi.
Where they at?
@Matthew salt lake city
Cosworth staged a kit for Sema a few years back. I don’t think it had much interest, they had them for sale around 5k for the kit. Not sure if it had gains or not. Same kit that rallysport direct has on their car. Not sure of what other mods they did.
