Unfortunately I don’t have access to the bender and press brake that I used. 🙁 The SDHQ is probably the best hidden mount out there right now. Too bad it’s so expensive. I made mine for $30 in steel. Good luck with your decision!
Thanks! I reused the 6 factory bolts that held the bumper reinforcement to the frame then added a bracket to go to the side of each frame horn for a little extra strength using 2 more bolts per side. I had that little 8000 dragging my truck across my paved driveway trying to pull out a stump so I know it was built well. ??
Was looking at this mount and the SDHQ mount. I havent seen any reviews on the CBI mount and the SDHQ mount looks much sturdier and comes with extra frame support mounts which is probably why its a little more expensive. SDHQ also seems to have the better customer support from what I’ve seen.
@Chris CBI always has a longer back order but i would be getting it raw steal cuz powdercoating sucks and just rusts after time. if i get it raw steal that leaves me the option to weld any supports that may be needed. after that i send it out to get Line-X coated… powdercoating sucks when u deal with salt water alot
@Matt On CBI’s site it says it comes powdercoated black. But even if it doesn’t, you still add a little cost for doing your own extra supports and such, which probably don’t amount to the cost of the SDHQ mount but for anyone with no welding skill it looks like the SDHQ mount would be a much better built mount.

@Carter yeah yours looks very good! And to be honest is ratjer pay you than someone else lol
Sorry man! Wish I could crack one out for you, but the press brake is a must and is no longer in my arsenal of tools.
That looks great. Did you make reinforcement brackets for the frame mounting pads as well?
