Got one in my 20 Rebel and it is great. Takes literally a minute to install and you can adjust the sensitivity to your liking. Basically it lets you accelerate faster without smashing the pedal all the way down and the response is a little faster. Helps take away that lag
Had one and had issues. Ran mine on sport and it kept throwing the throttle position sensor code and had no throttle response ….so I sold it and got a tuner from diablo and would definitely go that route.
@Michael that I can not answer. I would imagine they have some info on that on their page. But the tuner I have is handheld and takes like 2 minutes to put back to stock so truly you wouldnt even know it was there unless a dealer was looking at computer info.
Your gas pedal is connected by wire to a 5K ohm resistor ( TPS or throttle position sensor ) that has 5 volts applied to it, If you are at 1/2 throttle for example, you are sending a 2.5 volt command signal to your ECM. ( Engine Control Module ) This tells your engine to respond to half throttle. The pedal commander allows your to make your gas pedal ” more sensitive”. It takes that same 2,5 volt signal, doubles it to 5 volts, and tells your Engine Control Module to go to 100% throttle. Say you are pulling away from a stop sign, and lightly touch the gas. Your pedal commander can double that signal and tell your engine to do double what you would have done. It simply changes your Throttle Position Sensor Output to your ECM making for quicker engine response. There are 4 ( I believe ) settings to choose from. Eco – Sport + to get the response that you like best. Your actual engine gains no performance. You tune your gas pedal to your liking.
I’m running Pedal Commander and I LOVE it! Everyday travel I keep it on city mode but sport mode is fun to play with. Still kind of scared of sport plus mode ?? Definitely worth the money
Following, I’ve been looking at getting one for my ’16 Ram 1500
@Cody
I have one on my ’17 1500. Worth every penny! Takes less than a minute to hook up. It’s like driving a different vehicle.
@Dan wow ok I’m sold, did your milage improve?
@Michael no. It only improves throttle response.
Just ordered mine earlier today

Love it man. Warranty stays intact

@Tyler was the tuner expensive
400. But well worth it. I run an 87 octane tune and have 0 complaints. Actually kinda scared to bump it up.
Thanks for the info, does the Diablo effect the warranty?
