@Sage yep your problem is behind that wheel. Chances are your caliper blew out.

@Greg Ok thank you.

@Sage could be caliper too. Or if you got someone that doesn’t like you they could have backed your bleed screw out

When you pull the tire off should be obvious what’s wrong it could he the brake line also

Check the vehicle frame for wet places too. Brake lines rust through.

Is that oily, or has it been there a while? That could just be break dust from your pads. If it’s break dust it really doesn’t mean anything.

Well ??

Same thing happened to me. Turned out the cheap chinese metal used for the aftermarker rotors that were put on prior to me purchasing the vehicle, caused them to split in half. My wife was scared shitless. lol

@Christopher i am a tech, every time I remove a Wheel or if Customer pay for an inspection i check the brake rotor
Basic as the sun wake up every morning

The truck was inspected last March of last year. It has been sitting mostly since then. I’m not sure this would have been noticed. The other side looked fine but I wanted to change it as well. While removing it, it also broke apart.

@Christopher
Geeeeze !!! You must live up north, that’s a LOT of rust !!!

Christopher

@C PA. Salt kills.

Indeed, Good Luck with your fix, I live in S Ky and road salt is manageable here if you stay on it, but I’ve always heard that up north rust is just a part of life !!
