Filled up my truck today. 2.3L 5speed. I averaged 23 mpg highway and city combined. What is everyone else getting?

Smiles per gallon. I never look at the price of fuel #7.3Lyfe
Man i miss my ol 7.3, don’t miss the cold days when id forgot to plug her in though!!
@Tyler probably because u drive a com9any truck and don’t pay for it. ???
@Tom Oh no. You’re onto me.
@Tyler I got one too. ??
16 if that lol
I’m at 16 high way 14 city lmao ?
29 highway, 25 combined, 96 2.5 manual trans.
@Dima that’s what mine did. I have an 04 now and haven’t checked.
17 and 21 with a 3.0 auto.
331sbf 750 double pumper 5 speed 3.73 gears. 23mpg highway 7mpg when racing.
15 mpg
Lol. 12 mpg highway. 2.5l
Well, last fill up I got 11.5.. 4.0L 5mt 4.10 gears.
Thats why. A 4.0 that spends most of its time at 1500 rpm will see close to 20, running it 3-4,000 will get you 10 lol
I figured this out on my Explorer. It adds up when the fucker has a 24 gallon tank.
I’ve only seen 20mpg one time. Windows up, fan on low set to cold. On the highway at 65mph. I’m pretty sure the 4.10 gear is to blame. It’s not a highway gear. It’s meant for pulling stuff.
I want a bigger gas tank in my ranger. At least I’d go further because more fuel. I drive mostly city mileage.
Yeah. They have 55 gallon fuel cells. Completely custom and aftermarket for Prerunners and hot rods. But I don’t see why it won’t go under the bed.
My Explorer has a 5 speed and 3.27 gears. The OHV pulls hard in first and second but on the highway I’m in 4th at like 2,000
A 55 gallon cell won’t go under the truck. It just won’t fit. Do you know how big that is? Lol. The 16 gallon one I have already hangs below the frame. Lol.
They work better on custom vehicles. Prerunners too. Example photo
I’m an idiot. Not 55, I’m thinking of a 32. I think that’s the biggest they go. I’m sure nobody wants to carry 440 lbs of fuel around town.
I mean, I don’t use the bed of my truck for anything other than my hockey equipment anyway. I could, but, I don’t want to do that much work. Lol.
I wish. In a 4.0L, and I seriously want my 2.8L 5spd back.
1 get 19 in my straight piped 2.5
I got mid 20s with my ’98 2.5 on the highway, and around 19-20 in town.. M5R1 5 speed. It’s parked for the winter due to loss of oil pressure. When it comes out I’m putting in a ’99 Mountaineer 5.0 and M5R2 instead.
