@Kenneth funny you say that, I was actually wondering if I put some e85 in my tank would it hurt? For example about 12 gallons of 91 and about 2 of e85? I looked up the question but I can’t find anything at all. Would that make a difference at all or is it a waste of time/not safe.
@Harman Just a heads up, because the computer has to “learn” this new mixture. Go one gallon at a time drive 10 miles off boost go every fill up add 1 more gallon of e85 to the mix. Until you get to 3 gallons. Every once in a while go back to regular pump gas and do it all over. Have fun
@John you’ll need a bigger hpfp if you do intake/j-pipe because the stock pump can’t keep up. But intercooler, tgv/EGR deletes and aos are totally optional
Power loss? You mean power gain…
It will eat you hpfp waste of money.
Up to E30 or so, it’s no problem.
@John ethanol pump is $150…
Lpfp that’s e85 compatable is $150. hpfp can fail after prlonged pure E85 use (like $500-$1xxx easily when it’s released)
thanks Jacob
@John e55 for 40k miles would say otherwise.
tuned? Nothing else replaced?
Just throw the car away at that point
Stock 18 wrx on E60, 325whp
Stockish, i only deleted tgvs and egr. And added a grimmspeed ebcs and Cobb flex fuel kit. Stock intake and exhaust
@Phil tune?
I only have a catback / grimmspeed intake + boomba bpv on E30 , 340WHP
@Phil stage 2 wrx 325 on gasoline, 400 on e85 ?
400? On a stock block?
Sorry but that’s not stock….
My car is stock except for the flex sensor and I unplugged the egr. E77 is as high as the ethanol gets around here so that’s what I’m running.
Scrap yard
just do it, buy an ap and a flex fuel kit and you’ll make good power
You’ll need a tune for anything over three gallons of e85

@Kenneth dude THATS AWESOME! I’m on my way to the e85 station to try it! I’ll play it safe and do 2 gallons e85 and the rest 91!
Every fill up I put in 3 gal of e85 and fill it up with 93. I let the car get down to about 20 miles till empty then do it.

I’ve been doing this for about 3.5 years now on my 15 without issues.
If you go flex, you have to delete tgvs. And highly recommend deleting egr. Those two items only run about $100 total
Protuned (virtually tune by @Anthony)
Stock 18 WRX on e30 with only EGR unplug. 300whp.
Ok………..
Levi Tatkenhorst just thought an 80 whp gain was responsive to the question of whether there’s power loss
@Andrew I wouldn’t listen to him. He’s either stock not making any power or somewhere around 350 and thinks he has the fastest shit on the road
all i hear is flex fuel should literally be the first mod people do. Im planning stage 2 + flexfuel with EGR/TGV deletes.
Get the flex fuel sensor brotha. e60. 385whp/356tq
@Chris, what mods?
@Phil fbo besides headers and intake
From what I’ve noticed with 3 gallons of E85 it prevents the power dip. Pulls longer in the stock power band. Burns fuel faster of course.
Power gain
Get e30 map tune! Stock errthang
Do I need to change my stock InterCooler if I’m going to do e30 5 gallons of E
nope. Just need a tune
@Kenneth just get deletes aos hpfp?
you can run E30 with just an AP and a tune. You don’t need anything else. There are people running stock on full e85 with just a tune.
@Kenneth you sure? I saw a post that you need supporting mods if you’re going more than 3 gallons of E
Totally incorrect.

Kenneth Rauld that post was like 4 yrs ago. Will the car last ?
@John yup. If your car is tuned correctly, it will.
No aftermarket hpfp available at this time. I’m still running my stock lpfp on e60
Kenneth Rauld why do you need a “bigger” hpfp with those mods? Lool maybe a better in tank pump….
FA20 love ethanol
Yes, except for cold weather
the best proven way to get more power in our cars, is to use the fkn search bar.
You should do that very thing and search your way out of here
This post wouldn’t exist for you to get butthurt about, if he used the search bar. Mr Tuff guy
You seem hurt ?
Nah bro just send it
E85 best thing Ive done to car been on flex for 40k
