It can be done both ways. Easiest would be running a t2 ecu. What would be easier is getting a t2 motor. Why are you wanting to run n/a than turbo it?

Came acrost a non turbo 13b for 75 bucks and got sum turbo parts saved up thought It would be more practical for a street car application

Part out the 13b make some $ than buy a turbo motor. It will be a lot easier.

Go search the forums it’s been done both ways you speak of. If you’re thinking you can slap a turbo and other parts onto a n/a. “Cause I got a cheap 13b n/a and some turbo parts laying around” you’re in for a headache

A s4 13b n/a ported will make nice power for a as and will last a lot longer than a turbo.

Honestly that was the rout I was originally going for but all the types of ports idk what to chose I don’t want to do something to crazy and then half to change a lot of the internal motor parts along intake ect Ideally it would be nice to have a mild port or even a street port but then I would need to change injectors and what not correct? And u said u got s4 parts I would be interested for sure in them and this is a nube question what is a pineapple port?

Yes. It’s a “noob” question. But everyone starts somewhere…
Pineapple port is a template you buy from pine apple racing. When I port engine I use pineapple or mazda trix.

Mild port and street port are the same. You can do a huge street port but gains are very min. For street porting you do not need to change anything. (Advance the timing if anything)

Than there’s half bridge and full bridge porting that makes for a lot more power but drivability suffers..

Than there’s a few other but really only go P port from there. Do a search on porting you’ll learn a lot. There’s a page somewhere that explains all the ports with pictures

Thanks. See if your 13b is even worth rebuilding/installing. If you need a rebuild street port it. Ifcits a good running engine just drop it in and port it in the future. Go search porting and post back. That’s your homework for now 🙂
Porting makes a lot more sense once you understand the fundamentals of a rotary.

Well stuck between a street port and a extended port well the street port would be more in a price range for myself I would think that the extend port I would need to change intake stuff along with a free flowing exhaust to run properly but if I am going to build a street car I would end up changing it. Is the difference between the ports that drastic

I got a Fb an I’m doing a na turbo. U will need a t2 intake manifold. Port the intake to match the 6 port intake. U will also need a better fuel pump an bigger injectors. U are also going to need a fuel management system. U will need a customer turbo manifold a t2 one doesn’t bolt onto a na motor. Keep in mind u won’t be able to run as much boost as a t2 motor but if built right would b better then a t2
