I have a 2016 f150, 3.5 with the 3.31 gears. I pull a 5th wheel with mine and it does really well. There are days I wish I had the longer box, however, overall I’m very pleased! I’ve installed airbags and this spring I’m going to get new 10 ply tires. I towed 3,000 miles this season. I’ve never towed a travel trailer, it seems to handle the 5th wheel well!

@Lucas that’s insane how well these can tow!

Lucas

@Matthew it really is. It’s almost unbelievable. I’ve been on the fence a few times on if I should get a heavy duty, then I tow and I fall in love again. I like how I can get into smaller and tighter spaces with the truck and camper. There have been times where I’ve been inches away from obstacles!

I pull a 5000 lb camper in the mountains in Colorado. 3.5 & 3.31 gears and it does great. Way better than my NA V8 truck did.

I have a 5Star tune and really like the transmission management they did.

2017 10 speed, 3.31. Pull a 6000# dry 35foot TT. No problems as long as it’s not windy. Crosswinds are certainly noticeable.
