Got it thrown as a perk in when we bought the car but dealership is saying it would cause an indentation that would possibly need to be fixed. Trying to read up if it’s really any issue or they just dont want to do it.
I followed the examples in this video and used small plastic putty knives like he did and would strongly suggest using fishing line instead. I was as careful as I could possibly be trying not to scratch my paint but the plastic putty knives left small hairline scratches in the paint, that wouldn’t have been there had I used fishing line. The scratches will buff out, but they are there – nonetheless.
Just switched mine last night. I had perk of my dad’s body shop tools/cleaner. There is zero dent/issue when removed properly. If pushing too hard to peel them instead of working thru the adhesive it can dent tho…
Can you get E badges for the hood and wheels, “Stinger” Script Badge for the Rear and the steering wheel, and GT badge for the drive mode knob all from the same place?
I’m not sure about a few but I got my hood E, wheel Es and Stinger script for rear all from same place on EBay. It was a packaged deal…there are a lot that included GT as well… all shipped from Korea so took a bit.
My dealer gave me a full set of K badges for free. I paid the dealer’s body guy to do them all and he did a perfect job. I took everything off the rear except the large Stinger script in the center of the hatch. My dealer ordered that from Korea but didn’t charge me for it.
Work yours from the inside out I scratched the hell out of my front bumper but the rear cane out perfect also agree WAY to much adhesive and idk who the asshat was that thought 7 prongs was good for the steering wheel not sure what was worse to be honest
If u dont have a heat gun or hair dryer, leave ur car out in the sun for couple hours will soften the adhesive stickiness. I used fishing line to remove the emblem and WD40 to remove the adhesive with no problems.
What kind of issues?
Finding any indentation when removing the original decals?

This video covers it pretty well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GtAJ53H6t-o

Yes. Sticky as hell. They used too much adhesive. Be patient, take your time, and be careful. Don’t scratch the paint.
No issues but boy it takes a while and patience.

My shop said they would change all badges as part of the sale.
Will they provide badges as well?
Our shop is providing the badges and changing them
Just moving the stinger to the middle in the back and replacing kia in front with “e”
@Priya , that’s interesting. I did not know that badges were offered dealers.
