5sfe here…any ideas why the car would be hesitating at around 3k? New plugs wires cap and rotor seals timing belt.

When you say hesitant…. do you mean litrally no power or does it just stutter then pick up after?
stutter i guess would be a better description
Could be a few things, Fuel filter, 02 sensor, someone on owners club forums said there exhaust was clogged…. a family member had a similar issue…. was lead problem. I’d say just double check make sure everything is running okay.
Could be a vacuum leak also.
Fuel filter is brand new
Oh Okay and yeah @Jordan is right could he a vacuum leak.
Tps on the tb.
And also did you do ignition coil as well.
I have not tried the coil. The TPS…do you mean buy a new one?
First try the coil.
Is this a 93 na 5sfe or is it pre 93
93
I had a 93 na as well.
I replaced everything on the engine but the coil and that was the problem.lol
Was yours doing the same thing?
Yes, sometimes if i was at a red light and when it was time to take off it would bog down in power until i hit 3k rpms it will stutter then shoot off.
It will be even worse if you wash the car or it rains.
Yeah I noticed it today and it rained last night
The coil is internal and have the distributor rebuilt. If theirs any other ignition components you have yet to replace get to them as well.
I have replaced the plugs rotor cap wires
Do you have an bad oil leak as well?
No that I know if I mean there is a tiny one on the rear main seal
@Rick
I know that I had a hesitation on my car and I had oil in distributer cap. The seal in the distributer had failed. At first it was a small leak then it grew.
Ok I will check that as well
This video I made kinds shows why.
